RECALIBRATION

IMO requires according MEPC 107(49) all oil monitors to have a calibration certificate. The certificate is to show that the unit has been calibrated. The recalibration must be performed by an authorized service station (like Contika) and must be older than 5 years old. Many bigger shipowners does not want to get in troubles and does the recalibration once pr year. This also show their customers that they take care of the environment.
